This was definitely a slow burn romance, from hating each other, to fancying each other, to going on a date, to one of them hating each other again- to finally getting together.

It took FOREVER

I almost DNFed this book.
The two main characters are both extremely unlikeable, the male MC, Lucas, is grumpy with a bit of a temper. Vivian, the female MC, is stubborn with trust issues.

It all starts when Lucas gets annoyed that Vivian rents the office space he wants. That’s it. That’s the reason he doesn’t like her.

As the book moves along there is some character development on his part- even down to the wear he treats Vivian’s daughter. That was really nice to read. (Also, he has dog)

I did like reading about the various blind dates they went on before each other.

However it did show their personalities were very judgemental. I think we all are in a way, and I know the book was setting them up for each other but they were still both very judgemental of other people who they had literally just met.

Overall it’s alright
The stand out character is 15 year old Tegan.

Lucas and Vivian were just extras.

2.5 stars.
