Dear Justice League by Michael Northrop

5.0

This was just fun, funny, and cute the whole way through (except for Superman letting someone's bicycle get destroyed by a truck without shedding any tears shed). Both the artist and writer really add great details and thoughtful portrayals of these characters that have had thousands of scripts written about them. We finally get a glimpse at how Batman organizes his utility belt, which I've wondered about for years!

I read the whole thing on my lunch break at the library I work at, and was eager to finish it just so I could check it back in and immediately put it on our Marvel vs. DC feature display. A couple other favorite details that made me laugh out loud include someone fleeing an invasion at the White House yelling, "I'll be filibustered - it's Superman!" and a relatable moment of truth where Aquaman checks to see if there are any witnesses around before sniffing his own armpits.

This has to be one of the better graphic novels targeted at children.
