I rated the self-pub version 5 stars, but am rating the trad pub 3.5 stars. I don't know... the editing was good in some parts, love some of the additions, but so much felt choppy and confusing - time jumps weren't adequately explained, and some things kind of didn't make sense? Like...

why was Ailliard fighting Imirath guards after he betrayed Elowen to them? And if it was because he had failed in getting her secured and they'd turned on him for it, why was that not explained, or even hinted at?

I just feel like the story made so much more sense in the self pub version, even though it was super long. I will def keep reading the series, but... yeh. Confused.
