I liked the overall story and the characters were great, especially Lena, the main character. I loved how the story unfolded through her eyes and it was easy to see how she made the choices she did throughout the book.
I was really disappointed with the ending, it felt so rushed andI’m annoyed we don’t know what happened to Erin, even though it’s because of her Lena is safe. Erin deserved a better ending even if she was sort of deceitful, she was a good friend to both Desiree and Lena. . I also could not stand the repeated phrase “shitnuts.” The first time was fine, it was overused immediately after that. It would take me out of the story because I hated it so much. I was also annoyed at Lena’s wrist itching anytime she was stressed but never having a proper explanation as to why, especially with a character who never minded giving us backstory.
TL;DR the story and characters definitely made this books enjoyable. But the ending wasn’t super satisfying and felt extremely rushed.
