Profoundly moving, heartbreaking, and intimate, Ng has written a beautiful yet agonizing story with gorgeous, lyrical prose. The book switches POVs and weaves its timeline between past and present, giving the reader insight to the family’s history and all of the secrets/miscommunications that led them to where they ended up. Highly recommend this one.
