A Delicate Deception
by Cat Sebastian
Cat Sebastian builds relationships beautifully and I love this book’s “thesis statement” on romantic love. However, the last part of the book peters out, rather than concluding with a squee-worthy crescendo, which was a bit disappointing after the excellent build-up. Also, the roots of Sydney’s self esteem issues were not made sufficiently clear for how major they were (though I’ll acknowledge potential hints were dropped).
