It took me four months to finish this book. It is so dense with ideas that it's impossible to understand all its themes from one reading. There were many times I've wanted to give up, but for the ending alone it made it all worth it. I felt a deep sense of loss when I finished reading it, like saying goodbye to an old friend. I listened to Hans Zimmers' "Time" on YouTube while reading the last few chapters, felt perfect for this book.
