so the amount of time it took me to read this book is ridiculous (two months🥴) but it was due to my lack of time, when i had time i was tired and the lack of action in this book.

for most of the book, nothing was really happening, and don't get me wrong, i loved Alex and River, but they were too perfect and their relationship with Mia had no obstacles whatsoever (even when they had to keep it a secret for like five chapters lol). Like, there really wasn't anything stopping them from getting together.

The other storylines like the Prosthetics for Kids funding and Jason's stalking and harassment against Mia felt shadowed by Mia's, River's and Alex's relationship and for something that was supposed to be the main conflict in the book, it was all resolved in a couple of chapters and the consequences were... undermining? Like, it didn't give us the refreshing conclusion it deserved.

I enjoyed reading this book but most of it felt like filler. I loved the characters though and I will definetely read the other books in the series.

4 stars, but only for Mia, Alex and River❤️
