The Grownup
Wow what an excellently paced story?? Handjobs really tie the plot together, and it is all about holding on from the getgo. Miles is such a great character to introduce to this dynamic, I am constantly questing and whole-heardtely doubting him. Yet, I listen to everything he says logically in the crisis situation. It has been a while since I finished an entire book in a day like this. Starting at 4pm in the Landa library fiction section and finishing in my living room green lounge chair at 4am.
Characters are limited but can infer so much detail into their lives, I will need to reread with a bigger focus on the narrator. Distracted me the initial reading, but there were plenty of clues on who she was from the start. Would rec of someone who enjoys short-stories type reads/unsettling confrontations/analyzing decision making.
