The Mirror of Love by Alan Moore

3.0

Moores lyric poetry is griping, eloquent. yet the overall theme reflect an understanding of gay and lesbian history that is overwhelmingly eurocentri in nature. the appropriation of stonewall as a moment of resistance for Cis gays without any mention of qtpoc or really twoc is more than just a reflection of gay male sensibilities in 2003. it's a grave ommisio from the fabric of a modern day epic poem that attempts to chronicle gay love and resistance to homophobia throughout history.
