Captivating! Being someone who’s become quite the fan of Colleen Hoover books, but so far has only read the ones I see all over tik tok, which all happen to be romances, it’s safe to say I was quite shocked with the turn this story took. It was definitely a good kind of shocked though. I found myself being more enamoured in the story than I have been in a long time, and it truly is an amazing thing when a writer can make you feel so many different things for a single character. At certain moments, all I wanted to do was strangle Leeds, and scream at him for committing such a betrayal. At others, I felt so much sympathy for the conflicting situation he was in, and wished he didn’t have to deal with something so simply heartbreaking. Once the reasoning for everything was explained though, and everything was sort of pulled together into a neat little bow, I found myself completely in awe of Colleen for thinking of a plot line and idea so extreme, that at moments I physically gasped from complete and utter shock. Amazing read, would highly highly highly recommend.
