Sweet Shadows by Tera Lynn Childs

4.0

Grace, Greer, and Gretchen are back and still fighting monsters. The book opens with Gretchen's apartment being blown up so she has to retreat to one of her safe houses. Luckily, her life has never been normal so she doesn't have too much to mourn. Greer and Grace, on the other hand, are trying to maintain their own status quo. Of course, when gods and monsters are both trying to kill you, it's hard to keep your life on an even keel.
In this book, we learn a little bit more about the destiny the girls as the "Key Generation" are supposed to fulfill. We also find out a little bit more about Gretchen's mysterious friend (or is he?), Nick as well as experiencing a trip to the Abyss. It seems that the line between monsters and humans isn't as clear-cut as might be supposed and the choice the girls have to make is going to be much more difficult than they had anticipated.
