To learn of a life in the past for those at the bottom of society is increadibly intresting, especially the great tidbits of analysis given by Orwell. These tidbits can be applied to our modern viewing of both homlessness and life for those on the fridges of collapse. Especially as this type of life become more common as the gaps in our society become more obvious.
