Tarzan of the Apes-3⭐️-I knew this book wasn’t going to be the cutesy Disney classic I grew up with but I am a little shocked as to how bloody and raw it was, and how drastically the storyline veered between the 2 mediums. Prof. Porter wasn’t there to study apes, and he and Jane were Americans! Tarzan was also related to Clayton, who wasn’t so much of a villain in the books. Also it’s unclear as of now if Tarzan and Jane end up together which will ruin me if they don’t. Despite the differences I did enjoy the book in its own way- however it must be said that this book was written in the early 1900’s so racial biased is prevalent.
