Chernow does a great job (again) explaining complex economic and financial minutiae in readable and interesting ways. He does better with individual, personal stories, so I found the first half on the actual Morgan’s interesting, but I can’t bring myself to care about banking executive dramas in the 1980s.

Good book if you are looking for a history of modern banking. I found I liked his Hamilton book better. (That’s on me I studied 18th century history)
