The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald

5.0

I just finished The Night Olivia Fell and after wiping my tears, can honestly give this book a well-deserved 5 star recommendation. This story tells the tale of the unbreakable bond of a mother and daughter, friendship, and young love. As the mom of a teenage girl, this book completely tugged at my heart. The story begins with a the worst call a parent can receive, something has happened to Olivia. Refusing to accept Olivia’s fall as an accident, Abi uses both her love and strength to get to the bottom of how Olivia fell, uncovering secrets from both her past and Olivia’s future. The story carefully untangles the events from that night and also digs into a past Abi tried so desperately to keep hidden. Is Olivia’s real father the reason for Abi’s nightmare and who was sending Olivia threatening messages? In the end, Abi comes to terms with her past and makes peace with her future. If you haven’t read The Night Olivia Fell, I highly recommend picking it up along with a box of tissues.
