Annihilation: Conquest, Book Two by Kyle Hotz, Dan Abnett, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Scott Hanna, Tom Raney, Andy Lanning, Sean Chen

4.0

Much better ending than the original Annihilation arc. And the art never got painful. It did get less accessible, however. The stories used a lot of C-list heroes, but set them up well. I couldn't tell which ones pre-existed and which were created from scratch. No continuity issues. But once they started pulling out the villain reveals, they used much bigger names and assumed you already knew all about them. And having to stop reading to check Wikipedia or such is a major pain that takes you out of the story.
