Everything I Know About Love: A Memoir by Dolly Alderton

3.0

3.5/5 stars but good reads doesn’t let you do half stars.

This book hit me hard many different times while reading. It made me laugh, i felt connected to the author, the stories and struggles were relatable and it was filled with great quotes and inspiration. But something about this book just didn’t land for me. I’m not sure if it’s just the memoir style of writing, but as much as I enjoyed many parts of it, the books a whole was just alright. As someone who isn’t British I found the stories at times to be a drag just because all the details and locations weren’t at all familiar. Additionally, i didn’t feel compelled to finish the book quickly due to the lack of “plot.” But like I said, i think that’s just a memoir. That being said…overall, I would recommend this book to any other woman my age due to the relatability and great advice.
