An enjoyable detective with unexpected and yet believable plot twists right until the end.
Unfortunately I read it in (Dutch) translation,  and although that wa  mostly good, there were a few over-literal translations. A duck pond is just a vijver. A bedsit is a studio flat. The other aspect which grated a bit was the repeated references to the British army being the best in the world. I suppose that was to compensate for some aspects of the army not being so positive in the book.
Anyway, a great read, very enjoyable.
