Once they had sex (and after), I couldn’t stand Benedict. He’s saying he won’t stop if she says no during it, is weird about her hymen (I get it due to the times but it wasn’t necessary to write about), and thinks he might hurt her when he’s mad. Big ick. 

Benedict isn’t the hero of this story. The dowager viscountess, Violet, is the hero.
