Just like every other Kiersten book, I devoured this in one sitting.
I automatically clear my calendar whenever Kmod releases a new book because I know it will be as addicting as her last.
This thriller was so different but in the best way. I never expected a thriller to give me all the feels. Not sad or happy feels because I don’t do happy or sad books because my black heart enjoys violence.
Usually the twist leaves me shook and this one was no different except the fact that I was more in AWE of this twist. Awe in the way of the twist being surprising, layered, and oddly satisfying.
Each chapter swaps between current day and the past. You have to map together the pieces trying to figure out what happened. Excellent book.
