Silent Night by Danielle Steel
4.0

I’ve never read a Danielle Steel novel before, but after reading this I’m sure it pick up another. I’m not a huge fan of third person narrative but it works perfectly for this book, as you are able to get to know the characters from an unbiased stand-point. This story was very different from anything I’ve read before. I really enjoyed reading about Emma’s story as she recovered from something so damaging, and how Whitney helped her to piece her life back together. I found the explanations for Emma’s condition to be rather repetitive at times, which would definitely come down to nitpicking the storyline. Some of the conversations with the doctors didn’t really sound professional, however this isn’t something I would criticize her for as she isn’t a medical doctor. Overall this was a substantial story of a young girl learning to function in daily life again after experiencing such a traumatic event. I loved seeing the relationship between Emma and Whitney progress, as well as the relationship between Whitney and Bailey.
