Loved this book! I also really enjoyed ‘The Violin Conspiracy’ so I felt like I would like this one too. I loved Ebony. I liked Bern but he could be so naive sometimes. Seeing Josephine stand up for herself at the end was my favorite.
This story really made you think about how often that artists were stealing Black people’s music and passing it off as their own. It was probably happening way more than we think. I hate that they couldn’t really expose the Delaney foundation but I was glad Josephine got her recognition in the end.
Also loved the little side romance that bloomed between Ebony and Bern. Love seeing a good friends to lovers arc.
