Reading Good Talk truly did give me the feeling of being a fly on the wall while witnessing the characters have difficult conversations and complicated realizations. The brilliance of this graphic memoir is how it elicits empathy in the most genuine and authentic way. Through the intimacy of conversations. Mira Jacobs’ does a wonderful job of relaying her experiences as an Indian American woman and Mother in a way that left me wanting to do better, to be better about being less passive about my place in America.
