The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo

Poor Esméralda died while she was in love with phoebus , She died for him , It's very painful that she died and she thought that he loved her and in every time she was saying his name she was saying darling before it .. it's a very painful miserable novel.

My criticism of the author that he didn't illustrate any obvious reasons for phoebus to be as cruel as he was to Esméralda .. he wanted to create misery from the vain.
