This book was everything I hoped for and more. Set around the Texas-Mexico border in the 1840s, VAMPIRES OF EL NORTE was full of supernatural mystery, historical detail, lush description, and deeply romantic yearning. It took turns with its vampires I was not expecting but truly loved and the romance played out in a very satisfying HEA. HIGHLY recommend, 5 stars.
