Fascinating history and analysis of phosphorus and humans use and misuse. The structure seemed somewhat disorganized to me - long introduction, but the... flow between chapters was lacking, and it just sort of suddenly ended. No summary or closing, which was strange and unfortunate given the lengthy introduction combined with the lack of clear thesis throughout.

I get that this was meant to be a broad overview, but in fact it felt like it should have been longer,  covered more regions and gone into more detail. That's basically a compliment and indication that I wanted to learn more.
