damn this book is good. but i think for it to be great you have to let it ruminate a bit. the epilogue was crazy. the political intrigue, the betrayals, rhe coups, the setups… all so intriguing, was not a fan of the romance. liked vis but sometimes felt like he was a bit tToo much. i enjoyed the friendships. i loved the social commentary, the gray lines in the colonizer/colonized discussion was a treat to read. i adored the worldbuikding. plot lost me a bit whike reading, but thinking back on it while writing this review has me realizing how cleverly writen everything wa. definitely a good book, and a future staple of thus genre, i think. cant wait for the sequel. please give this a read,
