State of Grace by Neena Desai is a story of life, family, love, dreams, and loss. It deals with the emotional pain caused by the unexpected turns of life and eventually how a person heals their own broken heart.
This is a story of two girls Ria and Nikita, holding aspiring dreams to pursue higher studies at American University. But as we know life is not always as we planned, something terrible happened which shattered their dreams. Both girls have their journey with lots of ups and downs towards life. I will not talk about the story much as it will be a spoiler.
This is a well-written story that has everything: family drama, love, loss, grief, and courage and is thoroughly an engaging story from start to finish. The plot is paced out well with spreading a message of hope. The characters are well developed especially the main protagonist Riya. Overall, this is a beautiful book with a message in between the lines.
