This was such a great one to read as an audiobook; I loved all four of the narrators and their distinct voices. I was able to tell everyone apart much easier than I expected, even without having a physical copy to refer back to. This book was such a powerful glimpse into the lives of four women in Seoul who shared one apartment building. I was enthralled as their lives intersected more and more and they grew to depend on one another for companionship and support.

The ending was satisfying but abrupt in the sense that I selfishly wanted more. I felt bereft not knowing how everything turned out for these friends, who had somehow become my friends. I don't think I would have been fully satisfied until I read about them as old women attending each other's funerals, which is probably a lot more than what the average reader is looking for in a novel. Cha is clearly a force to be reckoned with and I'm eagerly awaiting her next book!
