The Good Women of China: Hidden Voices by Xinran

A male friend handed me this book and thought I would be interested in it. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down (even on a Friday night, though I was in Wellsville). The stories are compelling and provoked a wide range of feelings from me. It has left me with the desire to learn more about China in general, and Chinese women's role in recent history.
