Really loved the mystery and intrigue of this book!! I picked it up on a chance while looking for the author's other book, "Mexican Gothic" and so glad I did.
I really loved the character of Elvis and his development throughout this story and I think learning more about this specific history in Mexico was enlightening, as well as maddening.
Also, Maite is wonderful and just the way she just stumbles into the plot is wild. She gives off Bilbo Baggins energy.
