Buns, Volume 3 by Alice Clayton
2.0
I found this reading suggestion on a list of '2017 best romances I read' (or something close to that). The synopsis sounded good, & the elibrary had it so it was done deal.
I'm all for powerful females characters who know what they want, and don't 'need no help from no man'. The main character, Clara, just took that concept a little too far. It got repetitive to the point that I would think 'here we go again!' Especially after the illness episode. I don't know of anyone who acts that way in real life. It was just irrational behavior on her part. I was fed up with Clara and I wasn't even the one trying to date her. Kudos to Archie for being level headed, and having staying power. 'Cause I'da been out!
Plus the potty mouths! I like the occasional F bomb. I slip it in when I'm feeling frustrated or mad, but jeez the ladies in this book use it like a comma in almost every conversation.
I probably won't read the first 2 novels of this series.
