Autumn is the perfect time to read this book. If you can imagine a world where the only season is Autumn then this book is for you! The story tells us a tale of a superstitious village, myths and legends mysteries and secrets, and one young women determined to end her misery and grief by giving herself to the terrifying Pumpkin King in order to save the village for another year!
This is a great autumnal read and I enjoyed it, I liked the characters and the plot was good with some twists and turns. I did struggle with the writing style a little, it was a little old fashioned and it felt a little rushed in some places, but overall it was a good read.
