I found a number of the stories hit or miss, and I felt the titular "Miss Grief" too be a little too much for me. I will say that the editor's claims as to Woolson's stark, impactful writing rang true, and that Woolson does live up to her reputation for vivid regional color.

I will also say that I would absolutely watch a 13 episode anime serial based on "The Florentine Experiment."
