The Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley

5.0

The main character annoyed me at times, but what can you expect with a young adult main character. I really loved the storyline and appreciated that her Ojibwe culture shone through. This mystery hit on so many relevant issues that affect the indigenous community today. The main character is headstrong, compassionate and fierce. The ending pleased me and I enjoyed that this didn't become another romance novel.
