I just finished reading Animal Farm by George Orwell for the first time ever.
I recently posted on my story how depressingly familiar this book is to our reality, and to think it was an allegory published exactly 80 years ago, spanning generations to end up being similar to our society now in 2025 was a terrible realization— the kind that makes you stare at the wall, unable to continue reading.
“History repeats itself” keeps proving itself an accurate statement as we remain passive and silent to fight for what’s right and just.
Aside from the dreaded reality check, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
May we live an entirely different life than the characters in Animal Farm.
I genuinely hope so.
