The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King
3.0
I think it's a fun premise, but I wasn't engaged. Nothing bothered me, nothing blew me away. I think there's a natural limitation to a story with one character in one scenario whose outcome ends the story - anything before the end doesn't feel needed to propel the story forward. The middle needs dialogue and action, but the sources of them have been intentionally limited. Leaning harder into the delusion and the supernatural may have helped - although at this point I may just be asking for a watered down version of It. I'm glad I gave this one a listen, and glad it was short.
