I really enjoyed reading this book, I loved the setting and the world was really unique. The magic system is so creative and I have not seen a similar magic system. It was quite eye-opening with what is considered as Craft, for example cooking which is one of the most basic parts of our survival (I had a similar reaction as Isobel). I couldn't stop reading this and didn't want to put down the book to go to bed (after a while because at first I was not that interested). Overall I love the characters, I find Rook and his mannerisms cute like he was head over heels in love with Isobel AHHH. I felt a bit unsatisfied with the ending like <spoiler? I wanted to see them make new laws or at least explain what you had to do to become King/ Queen? I would have loved to have more to read from this world but at the same time I understand why this one is a standalone.
