The Crown of Gilded Bones (1 of 2) [Dramatized Adaptation]
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
slow-paced
Lost interest in the characters and plot during part 1 of this book, as always the voice acting is really good, but - like every other novel in this genre, the female character gains some unheard of power that exceeds expectations and everyone either hates her, loves her, or wants to capture or kill her. And of course it wouldn't be a romance if the female character didn't entertain the idea of having babies at some point. I always lose interest at that part and that's how part 1 of this book ended. Will they have children? I do not care to find out. Not sure I will continue the series or not. Main character is getting annoying at this point. I was sold and interested in the series until we learned Poppy has this great and unheard of power that just seems unreasonable. Just seems like another basic feminist book that portrays the main character as innocent, sheltered and abused, but also extremely horny, stubborn, and OP.
