The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom

5.0

Book club 2.0 for May 2023. Corrie Ten Boom and her sister Betsie are taken to prison camps during WWII by the Germans. They were working the underground to say Jews. The faith in God that Betsie and Corrie lived and demonstrated was enviable. I liked that Corrie was real about her often lack of faith. Betsie would reminder her to trust in Christ. There were so many examples of how God cared for them and supplied needs. I love to read about God’s provision especially as it happens in current day (I know this was 1940’s) if we will just trust. The conditions in the prison in Holland and then the concentration camp, Ravenbruck were horrendous. The love that the Ten Boom sisters had for God and showed to others was inspiring. To see that attitudes and care for others within dormitory 28 changed when they worshiped God was wonderful. Trust and faith in Jesus was their Hiding Place.
