Lucy Montgomery sees Will Arden after three years of being away traveling, and she’s not happy about it because all he has done for years is tease her. He is her brother’s best friend.
Will has been pining for Lucy for years, and one night years ago they kissed. He pushed her away then because he wasn’t willing at that time to get married. Since the war ended and it has left him scarred, he sees Lucy and realizes it’s a second chance for him to make things right and to finally make Lucy his.
I enjoyed this quick novella, you could see the mutual pining both of these characters had for each other, and when Lucy gets challenged to find out who the Phantom at the theater is, Will sets out to show Lucy how he feels about her.
