giving this book a 5 star since this pulled me out of my reading slump!

this book is the type of the slow-burn i love. i typically hate slow-burn, because how impatient i am. i normally hate it when the male character is overly grumpy and is a dickhead somehow from the start.

but this book, this book is everything.

i love how reiner 'the king' kulti's character development is. we can see how he was learning about sal. he is the perfect book boyfriend for the 'sport romance' section other than ryan shay from the right move for me. he is indeed the king. and sal... sal is so me. i don't blame her for mooning over kulti at first, even after he somehow broke her brother's leg. and i don't blame her how she turned out to hate kulti at first. as i said, he was a dickhead and he needed to learn some manners. i love how brave she is. how she and her self control, even when she could get angry sometimes. but she resembles me. i want to be like her. and i love her dad! i wish i was his daughter too, hehe. her dad is a perfect parental and father figure.

i also love how even it has 🐜🔥 the author doesn't give any over spiciness and it's still on normal level for me. nothing so toxic and so kinky on the mature scenes. i also love each characters here. there's some friendship and love here.

my favourite quote: destiny is a ladder, a series of steps that takes you where you’re supposed to go.

kulti, you're the king.
