I don't know how to sum up my thoughts about this book.

It's a literary masterpiece, but people already know this. Hugo is brilliant in this epic, and I can't help but be astounded each time I read. There's so much I love about it, and my words are too little to explain it all.

The book is brilliant. It's so radical, even for today, and it's astounding how Hugo's tangents make sense when you get to the final line. Even the mocked ones--Waterloo, the convent, the sewers--make a point. I love so much about this book.

I think this is one of those classics that everyone should read. What perfection.
