Air Logic by Laurie J. Marks

TL;DR: A final instalment which sticks to its guns about family and peace, even while throwing in some interesting twists

Although it relies upon bits from the previous book (which I didn't love), Air Logic feels more like a fitting third instalment in the overall narrative, and generally a worthy conclusion. It has genuine tension, some interesting new perspectives (particularly the well-handled autism element), and continues to be very thoughtful. I still find it a bit of a whirlwind structurally at points, and I am indifferent on the epilogue, but I enjoyed the book nonetheless. The series is ultimately uneven and flawed, but completely worth it for the characters, the themes explored, and a brave worldview committed to pacifism and queerness.
