House of Earth and Blood hits the ground running and never stops.

When I tell you that I love this book, I need you to understand that I love this book. It’s not perfect, but it’s everything I needed it to be and more, and I’m SO happy I read it when I did!

Things I love:
- Bryce’s growth, and her journey through her grief and survivor’s guilt
- How Hunt and Bryce’s relationship develops
- Ruhn Daanan and the amazing portrayal of his relationship with Bryce
- The pacing
- The mystery
- How the twists and turns are set up
- LIGHT IT UP
- “My friends are with me and I am not afraid”

Things I wish were different
- there’s only one, and it’s the backstory of the interrupted deal on the river (iykyk). It felt a little forced, but also things keep moving pretty quickly from that point on so it’s a pretty minor thing

I will definitely be reading the rest of this series. 5 stars.
