I’m literally crying finishing this beautiful story. Lewis’ bravery in telling his tale may be the thing that helps a trans youth find the courage to embrace who they are in spite of those who can’t be bothered to understand them.

Even as a cisgender man, the right mix of humor, acceptance of how hard this was for those around him too, and full transparency about his own experience that make this story relatable.
