Beautiful Pain by Joanna Mazurkiewicz

3.0

Sophia wanted to escape from her life in Boston. From her parents. Her past. She took up a temporary job in Belfast as a probation officer. That's where she meets Harry. The bad boy. The guy she needs to stay away from or she may screw up her career. A probation officer can't have a relationship with an offender. Harry has his own problems. Being on probation after getting arrested with possession of drugs she is also taking care of his ailing mother. Their attraction is too strong and she finds she is being drawn to Harry. She doesn't want to get to close because she's afraid of rejection. Afraid of what Harry will think when he finds out what she did in the past.
I enjoyed this book. It had a good storyline. The characters were developed well. I just felt like that there wasn't anything extraordinary about the book. It's like one of those movies that you would watch once and enjoy but wouldn't watch again.
