Forget Me Not
by Q.B. Tyler
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Plot
🌶🌶.5/5 Spicy
💃💃💃💃/Characters
I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about this book, and I completely understand why. I am not a fan of amnesia books, let alone books that centre around cheating. But...this IS my favourite Q.B. Tyler book. Bennett and Olivia are the most realistic (minus the number of intimate situations) couple I have read in a long time. They were happily in love, married and trying to grow their family. Unfortunately, life had other plans and Olivia suffered from multiple miscarriages causing her to shut down completely. This left Bennett to deal with the pain of losing the babies by himself. One drunken night, he cheats on Olivia, and the two separate for six months until a car accident wipes two years away from his memory. Let me just state I DO NOT CONDONE CHEATING. In no circumstance is that the appropriate way to deal with anything. In this work of FICTION, I can see how this can occur. I do wish he grovelled a little more. I understand he was hurting, but Olivia deserved more of him showing her how sorry he was instead of just stating it. Regardless, I loved these two, individually and together. Their pain and confusion were palpable. The audiobook for this was excellent. The voice actors did a spectacular job giving the characters life. Go in knowing this little blurb, and you will be pleasantly surprised by how good this story is.
