A beautiful memory embedded into a book. This was so nostalgic as someone who has occasionally visited Pakistan. Mimi and Sakina were the life of the party here. Sakina is definitely the hero of Mimis story. Although I wished we gotten a longer version of her father's back story and things like did sakina pass the test? What happened after? It's more of an open ending but I loved the journey of two different girls with their own problems and different situations was executed very well. The 4ollercoater of emotions, the father-daughter meet-up, the anger. Everyone has their own issues and things are never the way we see sometimes. The writing is so neat and descriptive. I enjoyed it! This is only a second time I got such a warm feeling reading a book.
